As a native New Mexican, I have desired to capture the colorful open skies, unique landscapes, and diverse cultures of the Southwest from a very young age. Photography has always been an important part of my life, and my passion has steadily increased over the years. I feel a sense of excitement when photographing outdoors in God’s amazing creation…whether it’s the panoramic mountain view or the detailed pattern of an owl’s feathers.
As a journalism major in college, my interest in photography blossomed. I became the sports photographer for the university, and couldn’t wait to develop my film after each sporting event. My three sons, and the events in their lives, became my favorite subjects for many years. Throughout that time, I also enjoyed many opportunities for freelance photography.
Living in California for seven years, I delighted in capturing the ocean and life along the coastline. Now, a resident of the South, I’m photographing alligators, coastal birds, flowers, Civil War sites, landmarks, and the defining culture of the area.
It has been gratifying to have my photos exhibited at the Enchanted Lens Camera Club and the Jackson Photographic Society, and to receive awards from the New Mexico State Fair and the Albuquerque Zoological Society as well as being published in the ENMU Alumni Magazine, Bird Magazine, and other periodicals.
Hope you enjoy what you see here. Thanks for stopping by my website!
